Keeper Cobia and Gaint Reds

WOW! Even though we have had a full moon and lots of rain in the past couple of weeks, the fishing has been very good! Fishing (within 10 miles) off Mexico Beach on the Car Bodies was excellent last Tuesday; we caught a nice, keeper Cobia! This time of year??? Awsome!! Kings and Spanish are hitting too. Lots of action.
In shore the fishing has been action packed too! We caught a 22lb, 33 inch Bull Red. We had to lift the anchor and chase him to bring him in for a photo opp. It was a fun catch for Jeff! It was too big to keep but beautiful and healthy and ready for reproduction.
Not only are reds biting; we have caught a variety of fish! The sharks are in thick and are fun to catch. Black drum are showing up along with Sheepshead, the ones we have caught are in the 5-7 pound range. They make a spinning reel's drag sing!!!
Stay tuned for more Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach fishing fun!!!
